The "Gift" of Fibromyagia -- Giving It Back With EFT
Did you know how I got started with EFT? I was experiencing excrutiating pain in my body, particularly in my back and neck. It sometimes was so bad that the only thing I could do was go to bed. I had very very low energy, and when you have a toddler and are a single mom, that's not a good combination....There's more to the story, but you know what I'm going to tell you by now, probably -- EFT was a critical component in my recovery. I like ot say that I was given the gift of fibromyalgia, but then I didn't need it anymore, so I gave it back. Stay tuned for more about fibro and tapping.
When EFT Cleared a Client's Chronic Shoulder Pain
Many of my clients are dealing with excrutiating pain, some of it chronic, long-term. It is surprising what we uncover when we begin tapping on the pain. I am changing the story slightly to protect confidentiality, but the essence is the same.
So, for instance, a man in his 60s tripped while walking round the lake and ever since that time, his shoulder was bothering him. He had done everything -- chiropractic, massage, physical therapy, orthopedic consults --- nothing worked. The pain was intense and constant, and had been for about a year.
We began working together and as we tapped, in that first session, up came a story about this man as a very young boy needing to take care of both of his younger siblings and also watch out for his parents, who were both alcoholics. Quickly, the pain in the shoulder began lessening. The man felt a lot of "warm energy" moving through that shoulder. There was an emotional release with the man as we tapped on the feelings that had been staunched since he was 5 and all the times growing up that he had to shut up and shoulder resposibilities that were far far beyond his years.
By the end of the session, the pain in the shoulder was gone. This after more than one year of acute pain.
In my work, I offer a guaranteed money back if a client does not get results. So far, those with whom I've worked have received results. You may, too.
